Improv

Programs based on improvisation applied in business

What to expect?

“Well, you are about to start the greatest improvisation of all. With no script. No idea what’s going to happen, often with people and places you have never seen before. And you are not in control. So say ‘yes.’ And if you’re lucky, you’ll find people who will say ‘yes’ back.”
(Stephen Colbert, American comedian, television host and writer)

Improv Shows for your team – at a location exclusively booked for you

Participants?

Small or medium groups of participants, with at least 20 people.

Duration?

Around 1h30min.

Location?

Mainly Bucharest, but also other cities or places you would like us to organize the event. Our shows are completely portable. We can perform in open air / theaters / offices / coffee shops / unconventional spaces, restaurants, ballrooms.

Benefits

  • You will create special moments, experiences and memories for your team members. You will offer them a joyful evening, with spontaneous, high-quality, entertaining and fun moments of improv performed by a talented group, well-known in Romania and with 10 years of experience.
  • Shared happy moments bring to the team the feeling of belonging to the same group of people.
  • With such events repeated once in a while, you will make your employees’ journey more exciting and therefore increase the level of job satisfaction. Performance and job satisfaction are always correlated, so this type of experience can be part of the engagement strategy of your company.
  • Learn while having fun. It’s not only about having fun together and taking things light-heartedly, but also about turning out to workplaces some skills from improv shows, such as: being present in the moment, listening carefully, saying YES and contributing freely.

Team Building through Improvisation – for dedicated groups, offline, at the location chosen by you

Participants?

Group of at least 20 participants, ideally between 50-80, maximum 120

Location?

Anywhere in Romania or abroad.

Duration?

One full day of team building (around 6-7 hours) or just 3 hours. Depending on your plan, we can adapt the format and also include the improv show as part of the team building, later in the evening (as the final special moment of the program)

Benefits

  • Experience something new and innovative. A lot of people don’t appreciate the classical team building sessions and even avoid participating at the exercises. From our experience, this kind of team building is the most engaging, surprising (in a positive way) and funny method of learning new things and improving the team collaboration.
  • Make everyone participate and connect. The improv troupe and techniques used will make everyone want to instantly join the exercises, because they will just like them and want to take action. You will avoid people sitting out. More than then, the connection is created in a spontaneous and natural way.
  • Increase the team dynamics after the team building is over. The participants will discover each other in unconventional contexts, will have fun together, learn how to work together in improv exercises that can be transferred in work-related situations. Also, they will feel comfortable to behave more naturally with their colleagues and reveal their true personality at the office.

Online HR Programs

We generally consider improvisation as a tool to enhance the workplace relationships, create a great organizational culture and develop a team both at an individual level (team-members) and group (the team as an entity).

In particular, because of the pandemic and new “work from home” for so many employees around the world, we have created some special HR development programs that any company can provide to their employees, through video conferencing software:

Online Team Building based on improv techniques

Let your employees shine online, through an online improv show and storytelling. Our true actors – facilitators will train your team and make sure the participants will be ready to get on the virtual stage.

Participants?

Small or medium groups of participants, with maximum 100 people. All of them will be split into different groups (with 10-12 members). Each group will have its own improv show, in “front” of the other participants.

Duration?

Depending on your wishes, but we recommend not more than 3 or 4 hours, with a break.

Why?

Because your employees need an out of the box context to express themselves in front of the others, to work together in a non work-related environment and connect to the team, apart from the daily routine.

Go Comedy! Go Team!

Online team development program with several modules, that will improve the team dynamics (collaboration) and build those high-quality connections, so that the team will really bond and avoid conflicts. As an interactive learning & development program, it is focused on:

  1. learning sessions about relationships and collaborative behaviour, with a regular frequency (weekly, most recommended);
  2. interaction between the participants, outside the workshop itself, through virtual team and individual missions that they will receive;
  3. customization upon your needs.

Participants?

A group should have at least 8 – maximum 15 participants.

Duration?

Short sessions with 1h30min duration and weekly frequency.

Why?

Because people working together are not necessarily a team. You need to foster communication, collaboration, connections and our mix of team-bonding and skill-building is a unique method to do that. Whether your team has always been virtual or has made a recent shift, you will benefit from our experienced actors to improve the dynamics. Whether your team is newly acquainted or has been working together since years, our programs inspire and have lasting effects.

Communication & presentation skills

Short workshops based on storytelling and improv exercises.

Participants?

Groups with at least 8 – maximum 15 participants.

Duration?

1h30min and weekly frequency. We recommend at least 3 sessions/person, in order to have the best results.

Why?

Because these workshops create a safe environment in which participants can improve skills such as: communicating without scripts, listening and accepting new ideas, saying yes to new opportunities, adapting to changing situations, engaging into the unknown with more confidence, managing difficult conversations.

“A workplace culture of “Yes, and” tends to be one where innovators feel comfortable, says. Innovation thrives in an atmosphere of safety and non-criticism. Improvisation builds a muscle for trusting our own impulses and ideas, before we have to analyze how good they are, as well as helping develop an open-mindedness toward other people’s ideas.” (Daena Giardella, teacher of improvisational leadership class at MIT’s Sloan School of Management)

Creativity Boost

Short sessions based on comedy improv.

Participants?

Groups with at least 8 – maximum 15 participants.

Duration?

1h30min and weekly frequency. We recommend at least 3 sessions/person, in order to have the best results.

Why?

Because these sessions will bring new energy to your already existing team, get the new members on-board in a funny and engaging way. The energy comes from the improv itself as a performance, but also from one of its principles: BE CONFIDENT, meaning BE COURAGEOUS, because there are no wrong ideas /answers. Participants will feel free to laugh, play, let go inhibitions and discover each other in new perspectives. This is the perfect opportunity for creativity to be explored and enhanced.
